On Saturday 21st December 2006 Basildon YBC held their first annual junior and adult Christmas Cup at Basildon Bowl & Quasar Centre. The event was the first time that the YBC had held a combined junior and adult competition and was thoroughly enjoyed by the sixteen teams that took part, especially the juniors who were determined to beat the adults.
League Secretary Sue Miles said "everyone enjoyed this competition and everyone who took part said they were looking forward to participating in the 2007 competition". The next Christmas Cup will take place on Saturday 22nd December 2007.
